Loyd Crawford and Rev. Jim Handle officiating. Interment will follow at the McLaughlin Cemetery near Cleora. Arrangements are by the Luginbuel Funeral Service of Vinita. Jack Brewster was born October 25, 1922 in Cleora to George and Margaret Elizabeth Landrum Brewster and died Sunday, February 17, 2002 at the hospital in Sayre at the age of 79. Jack served in the U.S. Army during World War II and Korea. He married Ivy Nell Carter on October 1, 1951 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Jack worked for K & O Oil Company in Canadian, Texas for several years before retiring. Jack was a member of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leroy Brewster, Bill Brewster and two sisters, Lena Jackson and Wanna Miller. Survivors include his wife, Ivy of the home; three children, Sally Dale Brewster Turner of Elk City, J.C. Walton Brewster, II of Temple, Ty Throut Brewster of Chandler, Arizona; five sisters, Ina Harrison of Miami, Oleta Barnes of Afton, Lou Ella Palmer of Grove, Peggy Johnson of Grove and Jennie Crawford of Cleora and two grandchildren.
