(17 Jul 1907, Wednesday, Elk City Record, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Mr. A. G. Brown was born Sept. 10, 1842, and deceased July 15, 1907. He was married to Miss F. I. Binkley, May 20, 1885. To this union was born one child which has preceeded the father to the spirit world. He leaves a wife, two sisters and two nephews, with a host of friends who survive him, to mourn their loss. He has from early youth been a firm believer in the truths of the bible and while he had not united with the church he loved God and his Christ and was always a true friend to the cause of religion. In his life dealings with the world his character was always above reproach. A good man has been laid to rest in the cemetery to await the resurrection morn. Thou art gone but not dead. Dust thou art and unto dust thou must return; was not written of the spirit man. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. W. Condiff. (18 Jul 1907, Thursday, Elk City Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Passed Away. Last Monday, A G. Brown, living three miles southwest of Elk died of stomache (sic) trouble. Mr. Brown was sixty years old and had just sold his farm and was to move back to Texas to his old home.
