S. E. BROWN DEAD. Mrs. Brown, wife of Mayor Sam Brown, who underwent a serious operation last Friday, died at the Elk City Hospital at one o'clock this morning. Mrs. Brown suffered severely following the operation but was not considered in a serious condition until Monday night, when it seemed that nothing could be done to relieve her suffering. Dr. Aderholt of El Reno and several other local doctors were called in consultation, but it was the opinion of all that there was very little chance for her recovery.
