BROWN, ADDIE ALICE
(6 Sep 1925, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
ADDIE ALICE HALE.  Addie Alice Hale was born Dec. 19, 1900 and died Sept.
1, 1925, being 24 years 8 months and 12 days.  She was born in Linery,
Tenn. and was married to Owen Brown, Jan. 7th 1917.  Three children were
born to this union, Mansa (sic), age 7, Walker, age 4, and Crystine, age
2.  She with her family came to Oklahoma Feb. 21, 1925, having only been
here a few months when she was stricken with typhoid fever about the first
of August, friends and neighbors helped the family in every way they could
in taking care for her.  She leaves her husband, two little girls, and one
little boy, her father, step-mother, four brothers and three sisters, her
father, mother and one brother being with her when the end came.
She was so very patient in all her suffering always thinking she was
better until the last few hours before she passed away.  Neighbors and
friends extend sympathy to the family.
