   RACHEL FLORENCE (DAVIS) BRYANT
   
   Rachel Florence DAVIS BRYANT was born Jan. 31, 1903 northeast of
   Wheeler, Texas and died July 15 in Sayre Memorial Hospital at the age
   of 88. She was daughter of Edward Turner and Orpha Oilva DAVIS and
   moved in 1904 to a farm 3 miles north of Erick. She later lived in
   California from 1919 to 1920 before returning to Erick where she
   married Marion Hopkins BRYANT on March 24, 1923. Florence was a member
   of the Erick First Baptist Church since 1920 and was a beginner
   superintendent of the church for 20 years. She was also a charter
   member of the MacDowell Club. She was preceded in death by her
   parents, husband and one sister. Survivors include: one daughter,
   Beulah Gene IVESTER of Erick; one son, Marion Averial BRYANT of
   Wheeler, Texas; one sister, Valentine COLTHARP of Boise City; two
   brothers, Edward T. DAVIS, Erick; George DAVIS, Shamrock, Texas; four
   grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and other relatives. Services
   will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the Erick First Baptist Church with
   Walter KNOX and Warren TERRY officiating. Interment will be in the
   Davis cemetery under direction of Fatheree-Albert funeral home.
