(23 Jan 1907, Wednesday, Elk City Record, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): RICHARD U. (sic) BUNCH. R. U. Bunch died at his home, 14 miles southeast of Elk City, on Friday, January 18, at 6 p.m. Mr. Bunch had been sick with pneumonia for fourteen days. He fought the disease nobly but was compelled to yield in the end. He had the best of medical attendance and was nursed tenderly and carefully. Mr. Bunch was 29 years old last October. He leaves a wife and two small children, aged respectively four and two years. The funeral was conducted at the South Methodist church, at this place, Sunday morning, by the pastor, Rev. Mr. Wright, the interment at the city cemetery. Mr. Bunch was an honorable, industrious farmer and was respected by all who knew him. The neighborhood lost a good neighbor and the country a good citizen. (7 Feb 1907, The Canute Leader, Canute, Washita Co, OK): Death of Richard M. Bunch. It is with regret that we chronicle the death of this young man at his home on the first from pneumonia. Mr. Bunch was a son-in-law of J. F. Horn and lived on a farm adjoining to his father-in-law. He was quite popular with all his neighbors and his death coming so unexpectedly was quite a shock in the community. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved family and bespeak for them the sympathy of all friends. Richard M. Bunch who death we announce this week, was a member of the Home Relief Association, and we learn that the association will make quick settlement of his insurance.
