BURCKHALTER, DANIEL BOONE
(22 Mar 1923, Thursday, Elk City News Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
D. Burkhalter (sic) who died here Monday was formerly a resident of Elk
City, but until recently had been living on a farm near Berlin.  He moved
to Elk City a short time ago, suffering from cancer of liver which caused
his death.
Mr. Burkhalter was a former member here of the Socialistic party and many
will remember him as being quite a worker in that party.  His funeral was
held at Grandview Tuesday.

D. B. Burkhalter died last Sunday, March 18, 1923, at his home in the
north part of town.  The funeral service was held at the home Monday at 2
p.m. Rev. T. J. Archer of Roger Mills county officiated.  Interment was at
Grandview cemetery.  Note:  Cemetery records have surname "Burckhalter."
