BURKE, JAMES C.
2 Oct 1924, Thursday, Elk City News Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
After many months of suffering caused from being injured in a car
accident, James C. Burke, died, aged 68 years, 2 months, and 3 days.
Funeral services were held at St. Joseph's Church on Tuesday morning with
Rev. Geereart, officiating.
Mr. Burke was in the dray business here for a number of years being
associated with Frank Leeper, and was well known among our people.  His
family was composed of a wife, and daughter, Bessie, both who had preceded
him in death.  A brother and sister from Chickasha were present at the
funeral.
