BURLESON, JAMES EDWARD
(13 Aug 1930, Wednesday, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
BURLESON RITES ARE CONDUCTED.
Funeral services for James Edward Burleson, 80, who has resided here for
the past fifteen years, were held this afternoon at four o'clock in the
Grubitz and Son Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. H. W. Shirley, pastor of the
First Baptist church conducted the services.
Mr. Burleson leaves very few close relatives, having remained unmarried. 
He came here from Texas fifteen years ago and has since made his home with
his nephew, C. B. Brown, south of the city.  Mr. Burleson has been in poor
health for some time but had only been in a city hospital for three days
at his death. Wednesday afternoon.
Interment was made in West Fairlawn Cemetery.
