BURR, MALINDA
(Jul 1926, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Malinda Dennis was born in Laclede county, Mo., Nov 30, 1852.  Passed out
of this life July 27th at 1 o'clock a.m. at her home in Elk City, Okla.
She was united in marriage with Peter Burr when 22 years of age.  Two
children came to bless their home, Miss Birdie and W. C. Burr, both living
in Elk City.
She was a member of a family of eight brothers and sisters, all preceding
her into the other world.  Mr. Burr passed out of his life 6 years ago. 
All Mrs. Burr's life was spent in Missouri until 18 years ago, when they
moved to Oklahoma.
Mrs. Burr suffered greatly the few days of her illness, yet no word of
complaint was heard, she always had a smile for her physicians.  Her one
great comfort was in repeating the Lord's Prayer.
She was a good wife and mother, and to the loved ones we would say, you
will miss her, and we will miss her pleasant smile, and peaceful ways.
Funeral services were held at the First Christian Church Tuesday morning
at 11 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Lemmex.  Interment in West Fairlawn
Cemetery.
