BURWELL, MARVIN RAY
(2 Dec 1920, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
BABY DIES.  Marvin Ray, three months old son of Mr. and Mrs. H. R.
Burwell, died at the Hickman hospital last Friday morning after an illness
of only a few days.  The little one was buried at the Merritt cemetery
Friday afternoon.  The young parents have the deepest sympathy of all in
the loss of their little babe.
Marvin Ray Burwell was born Aug. 4, 1920; died Nov. 26, 1920.  He was a
bright little healthy child until Monday morning, Nov. 22nd, about 6
o'clock he took to screaming.  He was hurried to the Hickman hospital
where three doctors watched and tried to locate his trouble, but nothing
could be done, that ever eased him until his little breath ceased and the
Lord let him rest.  A united prayer was offered at the Hickman home and
also the school home, but all felt that he was to go from us, his
suffering was so intense.
We miss his laughing little face, oh, so much.  Only the promises of our
Savior that he is coming soon, and little Marvin will have part in the
first resurrection, spoken of in Revelation, from which there will be no
more sorrow or weeping.
