CALLOWAY, T. J.
(May 1914, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
At the family residence in Elk City last Sunday morning at 12 o'clock, the
summons of death came to T. J. Calloway.  Mr. Calloway was born March,
1833, being 81 years old at the time of his death.  He married Mrs. Agnes
Gibbons, October 1, 1867, to this union two children were born, Mrs. Kate
McReynolds and Arthur Calloway.  He served in the Confederate army,
enlisting in Maxey's 9th infantry at Paris, Texas.  He united with the
Missionary Baptist church in 1871 and has always lived a consistent
Christian.  The remains were taken to Ural cemetery and interred Monday. 
Many friends were present at the last sad rites, who extend their sincere
sympathy to the bereaved family.
