Interment will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk City, Beckham County, Oklahoma under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City. Tammey Kaye Cameron was born October 3, 1959 at Oklahoma City to John Cameron and Melba Vermillion and passed away Thursday, February 21, 2002 at the age of 42. Tammey lived with her family in Oklahoma City until her father passed away in 1969 and her mother in 2001 and she moved to Sayre where she lived until 1973 when she became part of the Eddie and Nancy Maddox Family. Tammey graduated from Merritt High School and then continued her education at Sayre Junior College for 1 and 1/2 years before completing her education at Southwestern State University at Weatherford where she achieved her Masters Degree in Education. She began her teaching career in the Sayre School System where she has taught for the last 21 years. Survivors includer her foster pa5rents, Eddie and Nancy Maddox of Elk City; paternal grandmother, Cleeta Maddox of Elk City; brothers and sisters, Dana Newcomb and her husband Jase of Duke, Oklahoma, Jimmy Ray Maddox of Elk City, Phyllis Norris and her husband Mike of Enid, Oklahoma, Stephen Maddox and wife, Jasmine of Elk City, Gabe High and his wife Juanita of Elk City, Paul Crux, Jr. of Elk City, Jamie Morrison of Elk City, Tony Briones of Elk City, nieces and nephews, Jarrod High, O'Neal High, Shikyra High, Jennifer Maddox, Cody Maddox, Sierra Maddox; another sister, Barbara Watts of Phoenix, Arizona and her children LaDonna, Gina and Waylon of Oklahoma City and many special friends.
