All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ CAMPBELL, ALICE (2 Mar 1929, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Alice Noomon (sic) Campbell died at Elk City April 24, 1929 at the age of 75 years. Funeral services were held April 25, 1929, at Pixlee school. Reverend Newman officiated at the services. Burial was held at Red Hill cemetery. Grubitz & Son had charge of arrangements for the funeral. On Sunday, realizing that the end was near, she called for her grandchildren who were then brought to her bedside and in feeble words she asked that each one meet her in Heaven. Alice Noonan was born near Paris, Mo., July 10, 1854, died April 24, 1929, aged 75 years, 9 months and 14 days. She was married to Mathew Campbell in Paris, Mo., December 18, 1872. To this union were born seven children of which five and her husband preceeded her in death. Rev. Newman having been requested by her to perform her funeral rites, conducted the services Thursday, April 25th at 2:30 p.m. at Prixlee (sic) school house. Interment was made in Red Hill cemetery beside her husband. Those left to mourn her loss were Mrs. H. H. McClendon of Ponca City and Rev. Campbell of Elk City and their families, also two grandchildren, Mrs. George Peach of Dallas, Texas, and H. C.
