CANFIELD, A. N.
(22 Nov 1923, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
LEEDEY MAN DIES HERE.
A. N. Canfield of Leedey, died here Wednesday morning.  He was brought
here five weeks ago, suffering from a ruptured appendix.  The case was
serious from the start, and peritonitis set in from which time there was
little hope for his recovery.  His wife was with him during his illness. 
His son, Lawrence, who is with the U. S. S. Procyon of California, was
here several weeks, and was to have returned Tuesday, but when his father
was so very low, he waited over one day, leaving for California on
Wednesday.
The body was prepared for interment and shipped to Leedey by Grubitz & Son.
