CARLSON, EUGENE JURGEN
(14 Feb 1918, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Eugene Jurgen Carlson was born at Crafton, Neb., Feb 3, 1910.  Died at the
home of his parents near Sweetwater, Okla., Feb. 5, 1918.
The funeral was held at the residence Wednesday afternoon Feb. 6. 
Services were conducted by Rev. Montgomery, who gave many beautiful
quotations from the scripture proving that "dust thou art and dust
returnest was not spoken of the soul."
Little Eugene, tho only a child seemed to have thought and reason far
beyond his years.  He was always thoughtful of others and even during his
last illness seemed to avoid causing any anxiety, and never failed to say
"thank you mamma" or "thank you papa" whey they did anything for him, and
when he would ask for anything he would say mamma if you think it will be
best.  His short stay here on earth brought only happiness to all who came
in contact with him.  His little school mates who attended the funeral in
a body seemed to realize their loss.  He was loved by all.
