(27 Jan 1916, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
DEATH OF N. J. CARMAN.
N. J. Carman of Canute, died last Thursday at his home of Bright's
disease.  His funeral was held on Friday and he was buried at the Page
cemetery, Dr. Jester, an old friend, conducting the services.  The
deceased was the father of Henry Carman, the auctioneer, and was 75 years
of age.  He leaves ten children, seven of whom were with him at the time
of his death.
