CARTER, MAY
(1 Jan 1908, Wednesday, Elk City Record, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
OBITUARY.
The angel of death entered the home of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Carter, Dec. 16,
and enfolded in its great white pinnions their darling little May, bore
her away to that blest home above to dwell with the saints and angels. 
She was an only child, aged one year, 7 months and thirteen days, during
her short stay on earth, she had grown into and entwined about her the
heart tendrils of many dear friends and relatives all of whom she was a
favorite and most especially so to her dear grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
Cox, for she was as a precious little sunbeam in their home.
She was sick one week, was taken with measles on Monday and gradually grew
worse with symptoms of pneumonia.  After funeral services at the home, the
little body was tenderly laid to rest in the city cemetery.
