All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ CLANCY, JASPER HARLAND (23 Feb 1928, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Jasper Harland Clancy was born in Kentucky February 4, 1881, departed from this life after being confined to his bed over four months, on February 16, 1928, age 47 years and 12 days. Mr. Clancy moved to Texas in 1892, then moved to Oklahoma in 1899. On November 27, 1904, he was married to Nora Blair and they lived near Erick, where he homesteaded. In 1915 they moved near Elk City, where he spent the rest of his life. He has made many friends wherever he lived. To this union were born ten children of whom seven survive him. He united with the Church of Christ in his early life and has lived a consistent Christian life and doing the good deeds in life that only a Christian can do. He leaves to mourn his departure, wife, daughters, Cloie, Lula, Bulah, Nadine, Lois Fern; two sons, Lee and Alvin; a father who now lives at Willow, Okla.; two brothers, L. E. and E. M. Clancy of Carter, Okla.; two sisters, one of Willow, Oklahoma, and one of Canadian, Texas, and a number of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Musgraves at Berlin, where a number of friends gathered to pay their last respects to the departed one.
