Tuesday morning, May 29, at about 3 o'clock, Delia May Clark passed into that peaceful rest after a continued illness of several months. She was laid away to rest at the Grand View cemetery. The largely attended funeral services were conducted by Rev. John Herral at the school house. She was 26 years old, being born in Mercer county, Missouri, in 1880, living there until she was 19 years old, having moved from there to this county with her parents, with whom she remained until death. She was a devoted Disciple of Christ, a member of the Christian church, was loved and respected by all who knew her, and while she is gone she is not forgotten. She leaves to mourn her, a father, mother, five brothers, besides a host of friends. Let us not weep as those who had no hope. The bereaved have the sympathy of all. A Friend. A Card of Thanks. We wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for the kind acts and personal sympathies of our neighbors and friends for our beloved and lamented daughter and sister, Cordelia, who departed this live May 28th,(sic) 1906. We feel that our loss is Heaven's gain. Wm. E. Clark and Family. --------------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.htm
