COBERLY, JAMES S.
(4 Apr 1912, Elk City Record, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Spring Creek.
J. S. Coberly was born in Ohio July 3, 1838, died at his home north of
Doxey March 28, 1912, having past four score years.  He is survived by his
aged companion and eight children, 4 living in Missouri and 4 in Oklahoma,
three being present at the funeral service which was conducted at the
Doxey cemetery by Rev. Hawkins.  Mr. Coberly and wife were married in 1856
living together 56 years.  They moved from Missouri to Oklahoma in 1906. 
He had been an invalid for the past two years.
