COLE, SAM SPENCER
(18 Dec 1919, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
BROTHER DEAD.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ruckman left Sunday afternoon for Texas, in answer to a
telegram that her brother S. S. Cole had died and that her mother was
seriously ill.
(25 Dec 1919, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
As stated last week, Mrs. Guy (sic) Ruckman has received word of the death
of her brother, and the serious illness of her mother.  Her mother passed
away Saturday.  Our hearts go out in deep sympathy to Mrs. Ruckman, for we
have had so many sorrows at Christmas times, and it seems the double
bereavement of Mrs. Ruckhman's right at the holiday season is so hard to
bear.
