"A little bud of love To Bloom with God above." Ruth Coleman, the little daughter of J. W. and Bessie (McDonald) Coleman of Leedey, Okla., died at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Coleman near Canute on Monday July 19th at 11:30 a.m. After an illness of three weeks, aged about 2 years. Loving hands did what they could for the little one, the doting grandparents leaving nothing undone for the care and comfort of the little grandchild whom they loved so devotedly. She was such a sweet little child, and unusually bright, winning all to her, and her friends were many, all of whom grieve with the parents and grandparents over the loss of the beloved child. Heaven is nearer to all because little Ruth is there, ready to welcome her loved ones. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Canute by Dr. Jester, a large number of friends and relatives attending the last sad rites. The body was laid to rest in Canute cemetery. With the parents and grandparents, a little baby brother is left to mourn her loss. --------------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.htm
