CONNER, HENRY T.
(13 Dec 1928, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Funeral services were held Friday, December 7, for Mr. H. T. Conner, who
died at his home in Elk City December 6, 1928, at the age of 72 years, 8
months and 9 days.
Mr. Conner's wife died in Elk City not more than six weeks ago.  Six
children survive the death of their mother and father.  Funeral services
were conducted at the home of Rev. Carl V. Covey, officiating.   Interment
was made in Fairlawn cemetery with Gentry-Killough, funeral directors, in
charge.
Mr. Conner was united in marriage to Nora Lee Grissom on March 26, 1896. 
To this union six children were born.  Mrs. Conner died on October 21,
1928.
Children who survive are:  Mrs. Cecil Wimpey, Port, Oklahoma; George
Conner, Elk City; Mrs. Violet Dyer, Borger, Texas; Mrs. Bertie Vaughn, St.
Louis, Oklahoma; Homer Conner, Elk City, and Mrs. Opal Allensworth, Arwin,
Calif.
Mr. Conner became a Christian when a young man and continued in the faith
until his death.
