OK NATHAN COPENHAVER Posted by Joan (DeFore) Garvey for Elk City Library Elk City Paper, Beckham Co., OK March 17, 1964 COPENHAVER RITES SET FOR THURSDAY Funeral services for Rev. Nathan COPENHAVER, 73, minister of the Church of God in Christ here, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Elk City. Rev. COPENHAVER died today at an Elk City hospital. Rev. A. L. HEARNE, Tulsa, will conduct the servcies and burial will be at the Evergreen cemetery under the direction of Savage Funeral Home. Nathan COPENHAVER was born on June 27, 1890, in Kentucky and was a veteran of WWI. He had lived here for 26 years. Prior to that he lived in Hollis. He was married to Fannie KEMP in 1919. Surviving are the widow of the home, 1406 S. Simpson, Lincoln addition; two sisters, Atha PENICK and Gertie TAYLOR, both of Kentucky.
