All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ COULSON, MAHALA (13 May 1926, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Mahala Coulson, wife of John C. Coulson, was born at Jefferson, Texas, May 5th, 1855. Died at the home of her son, Dr. L. T. Coulson, Clinton, Oklahoma, May 1, 1926. Eleven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Coulson, four girls and seven boys; two sons and her husband having preceded her in death. Mr. and Mrs. Coulson lived the greater part of their lives in Texas, coming to Weatherford in December, 1925. Mrs. Coulson was a wonderful mother and a faithful friend to everybody. Hers was a sweet exempilary (sic) Christian life and many lives have been made better on account of her kind ministrations. All of her children were present except one sister and one brother - Mrs. Della Fry of California, and Charlie Coulson of Amarillo, Texas. Funeral services were conducted at the former home of Dr. and Mrs. L. T. Coulson, Sunday, May 2nd. - Weatherford News. She was the mother of Dr. J. W.
