COX, HEZ D.
(1 Jul 1915, Thursday, Elk City News Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
DEATH OF H. D. FOX.
Many of the early settlers of this country will regret to learn of the
death of H. D. Cox, pioneer citizen of Cheyenne.  He died at that place
last Thursday morning of Bright's disease.
The Sentinel of Cheyenne says: "Mr. Cox made the run into this country
from Texas in 1892, and was one of the first to reach the government
townsite of Cheyenne, at which time he filed on a number of lots in this
city.  Grandma Cox, his wife, was the first white woman in Cheyenne."
