(11 Oct 1928, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Funeral services were held for R. A. Cox, aged 57, at the First Christian church, Elk City, October 10, at 3:00 p.m., with Rev. Carl V. Covey, officiating. Interment was made at Fairlawn cemetery at 4:00 p.m. Grubitz & Son, funeral directors, were in charge of the funeral arrangements. Mr. Cox died at his home on West Broadway Tuesday at 4:00 o'clock p.m., after an illness of about two months. He is a member of the Christian church and the Men's Bible class. He has lived in Oklahoma all of his life and has been a resident of Elk City for the last ten years. Mr. Cox was a carpenter by trade. Relatives who survive him are his wife, his daughter Miss Juanita Cox, a brother J. C.
