Obit of Luella (Wilcots) Criss LUELLA (WILCOTS) CRISS Posted by Joan (DeFore) Garvey for Elk City Library Elk City Daily News, Beckham Co., OK March 16, 1989 LUELLA CRISS Funeral services for Luella CRISS will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Mr. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Imogene MURRAY officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. CRISS was born July 11, 1909 in Pinolia Co., Tex. She moved to Boley in 1922 with her parents. In 1927 she moved to Enid where she lived until moving to Elk City in 1937 where she had lived since. She was married to G. V. CRISS April 16, 1945. Luella was employed by the Town House Restaurant, Dale McCLAIN, and the First Baptist Church until her health failed in October of 1989. She was preceded in death by her husband, G. V. CRISS, in 1981. Survivors include one son, Alphanso WILCOTS of Guthrie; one step-daughter, Jerry Louise STEWART, of Tulsa; also, two sisters, Emma Lou MASON of Fresno, Calif. and Franchie MARZETT of Boley; six brothers, Elvis WILCOTS of Oklahoma City, Alphanso WILCOTS of Midaro, Calif., William Earl WILCOTS of Fresno, Calif., Buster WILCOTS of Hansford, Calif., Sam WILCOTS of Boley, and Ruben WILCOTS of Bartlesville. There are also seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
