Miss Opal Danner died at her home in Sayre, after an illness of a few days. Funeral services were held at the Christian church, of which she was a member. She was a daughter of Mrs. Fuchs. She was born March 26, 1902, and died February 2, 1922. She was employed at Mrs. Sanders' millinery store in Erick, until about three months ago, when she came here to visit Mrs. H. J. Burchfield. She had many friends here, and was much loved by all who knew her. (16 Feb 1922, Thursday, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): Miss Opal Danner was taken with a severe pain in the head, from a gathering of some nature, while at Elk City, on Wednesday, February 1, and was brought to the home of her mother, Mrs. C. G. Fuchs, in this city that afternoon. Physicians did everything possible to relieve the sufferer, but to no avail, and she passed away about noon of Thursday. Funeral services were held from the Christian church, in this city, on Friday afternoon, February 3, with Rev. W. H. Gibble officiating. Interment was at the Doxey-Sayre cemetery. Opal Danner has been a resident of this city all her life, although employed at Erick and Elk City during the past year. She was educated in the Sayre schools, and was well known and highly respected by the young people of this city.
