DARBY, RUTH  ILENE
(1 Sep 1927, Elk City News Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
The people of this community were made to feel very sad Friday afternoon
when word came that Ruthie Darbey (sic), oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Luther Darbey of Elk City, had died that morning.  Mr. and Mrs. Darbey are
former residents of Carpenter and their many friends here extend their
sympathy.
Card of Thanks.
We wish to thank our many kind friends and Dr. Shadid and the nurses for
all their kindnesses and for the many beautiful flowers during the illness
and death of our little daughter, Ruthie Ilene.  They will long be
remembered in the hearts of her father, mother and little sisters and
brothers.
Mr. and Mrs. Darbey,  Loreen, Frankie, Ray, Edward Lee, and Helen Jewel.

DARBY.  Ruby Ruthie Darby was born October 25, 1917, and died August 26,
1927, age 9 years, 8 months and 1 day.
Ruby Ruthie Darby was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Darby, Eighth
and Walker.  Funeral services were held August 26 at the Baptist Church,
with Rev. Shirley officiating.
Burial at Fairlawn Cemetery, with Gentry-Killough in charge.
