DAUGHERTY, MARY JANE
(15 Jun 1916, Elk City Leader, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. Mary J. Daugherty Died Sunday Morning.  Mrs. Mary J. Daugherty died
at an early hour last Sunday morning at the home six miles northwest of
the city.  Mrs. Daugherty was 65 years old and had been sick for some
time.  She is survived by her husband and a number of grown children. 
Funeral services were conducted at the graveside in Grandview cemetery,
where interment was had Sunday afternoon.  Funeral arrangements were in
charge of Chandler & Robinson.

DEATH OF MRS. B. DAUGHERTY
Mary Jane Mariner was born near Martinsville, Clark county, Ill., Feb. 27,
1851.  Married to B. Dougherty (sic) August 10th, 1868, and died near Elk
City, Okla., the night of June 10th.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, June 11th, at four o'clock,
conducted by Rev. D. W. Brashear, and the remains were laid to rest in the
Grandview cemetery.  A large crowd attended the last sad rites showing the
great respect in which Mrs. Daugherty was held by all.  Deceased leaves
husband, seven children and thirty-three grandchildren.  She was converted
in childhood and had been a member of the M. E. Church for fifty years.
