DAVIS, CARRIE E.
(21 Sep 1916, Elk City Leader & Southwest News, Elk City, Beckham co, OK):
Mrs. O. S. Davis died at her home here September 15 from blood poison. 
She leaves a husband and seven children, the youngest being but 12 days
old.  Funeral services were held at the M. E. Church at 3 o'clock by Rev.
James Brewer.  The remains were taken to the Canute cemetery for
interment.  Her many friends extend words of sympathy and comfort to the
bereaved.
Mrs. Carrie Davis Died at Home at Canute on Friday.
Mrs. Carrie E. Davis, aged twenty-eight, wife of O. S. Davis, died last
Friday at the home at Canute, and the remains were laid to rest in the
family burying grounds there Friday afternoon.  Deceased is survived by
her husband and seven small children, a number of relatives and many
friends who sympathize with the husband and motherless children in their
great loss.
Funeral arrangements were in charge of Chandler & Robinson of this city.
