(Nov 1916, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
DEATH OF BABE
Ezra S. Davis, little son of Prof. O. S. Davis, died Monday night at the
home on Washington and First, aged two months and eighteen days.  Funeral
services were held at the home on Tuesday, Rev. Houck, officiating, and
the remains were taken to Canute to be laid beside the mother who died
soon after the babe's birth.  There are six children left the eldest nine
years of age.  Prof. Davis is teaching school at Waco Star, but lives in
Elk City, where his mother cares for the children.  He has the deepest
sympathy of all in his bereavement.
