All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ DAVIS, FANNIE (20 May 1926, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Fannie Wester (Webster) was born July 14, 1872, in Lawrence county, Tennessee, died at the age of 53 years and 10 months. Professed faith in Christ at the age of 13 years and united with the Missionary Baptist church to which she was a faithful member until death. She moved to Texas at the age of 19 years, was married to Dr. S. J. Davis, March 24, 1895, to this union was born 11 children; four girls and seven boys, nine living to present. Two girls dying in infancy. She was a true loving and kind wife and mother and a good neighbor. She died in the Clinton Hospital May 14, 1926, after a bedfast illness of three months. She has now gone to her reward. Funeral services were held at Hebron Baptist church of which she was a member. Services were conducted by Brother R. E. Smith.
