Margaret Day, wife of J. B. Day, of Elk City, Okla., was born in Grayson county, Kentucky, in 1847, and died at the home of her step-son, J. L. Day, near Nashville, Okla., July 25, 1905, at 11:15 a.m., at the age of 58 years. She was a member of the Christian church and led a consistent christian life for 25 years before her death. Throughout her career, and especially during her last illness, she manifested a christian fortitude and patience. In her departure from this life she gave abundant evidence that all is well with her soul. She died trusting in God and uttered a parting prayer for her bereaved family and others. She leaves one son, one daughter, one stepson and four step daughters, and a companion to mourn her loss. The funeral was conducted by the writer at the residence of J. L. Day, on July 26, at 10 a.m. and the remains were laid to rest in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. W. G.
