All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ DEDMON, VIOLA (25 Apr 1918, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): DEATH OF VIOLA DEDMON. Viola Dedmon, the fifteen year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Dedmon, of near Port, died at the hospital at Sentinel, on April 15th, after an operation that morning, from tubercular abscess. The deceased had been sick for two years. She was conscious almost to the last and thirty minutes before passing away told her mother she was not afraid to die. Her parents, two sisters and three brothers are left to mourn her death. Mrs. M. L. Ledbetter of Elk City, a sister of Mr. Dedmon, attended the funeral services, also another sister, Mrs. J. T. Mitcher of Butler, Okla.
