DUKE, THOMAS JEFFERSON
(10 Apr 1924, Elk City News Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
JEFF DUKE DEAD.
Our Carpenter correspondent writes, "Word was received here early Thursday
morning, April 3rd, telling of the death of Jeff Duke at Addington, Okla. 
This was a great shock to his wife and family as Mr. Duke was found dead
in road.  He was 61 years old and came to Sand Stone country in an early
day.
Mrs. Duke and family left Thursday night for Jacksboro, Tex., to attend
the funeral."
(10 Apr 1924, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
News arrived here Thursday morning of the death of Jeff Duke at Addington,
Okla.  He was found dead in bed at that place.  His children Wester and
Walker Duke, Mrs. Jap Joyce and Jewell Duke and Mrs. Duke left immediately
for that place.  They have our sympathy.  His remains were shipped to
Jacksboro, Texas, for burial.
