All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ DUREE, AGNES (20 Dec 1928, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Agnes Klingensmith Duree was born in Mercer county, Mo., March 30, 1878; and died December 11, 1928, at Stillwater, Okla., at the age of 50 years. She was united with the Methodist church at 15 years of age and was a devoted Christian. She was married to Chas. Duree on Feb. 18, 1899, and to this union were born 8 children, 5 boys and 3 girls. She was ill for several months and suffered greatly, but she bore her sufferings without a mumble and was always interested in the welfare of her home. Besides her husband she leaves the following sons, Otto and Orville Duree of Anadarko, Okla.; Orin, who is in the Marines; Chas. Jr. and Filo Duree of Stillwater, Okla. The following daughters Mrs. Hubert Fix of Elk City, Mrs. Gilbert Perry of Anadarko, Okla., and Miss Agnes Duree of Stillwater, Okla. She also leaves four brothers and one sister in Missouri, and a brother in California, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
