DURHAM, LEWIS C.
(2 Jan 1930, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
SAYRE, Jan. 2 -- Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30
o'clock in the Delhi Methodist church for Lewis C. Durham, 85, one of the
oldest pioneers in the county, Rev. T. N. Weeks, of Sayre, officiated.
Mr. Durham died at the family home near Delhi Monday morning.  He was one
of the pioneer citizens of the county, coming here in the early days when
this part of the state was Greer county and belonged to Texas.
He was an active worker in the community and a member of the Delhi
Methodist church.  He is survived by his wife and several children. 
Interment was in Delhi cemetery.
