Interment will follow in the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Sayre, OK. Margaret was born July 20, 1918 at Rankin, to William and Edith Petersen and died early this morning Friday October 19, 2001 in San Pablo, California at the age of 83. Margaret spent her early years in Rankin and then Reydon, where she graduated from high school in 1936. Her family moved to Riverside, California. She married Acie W. Easterling, in Holbrook, Arizona on November 11, 1938. Margaret became a career Army wife when Acie enlisted in 1943 and traveled with him in many assigned post in Europe and the United States. In 1980 after almost 20 years in California Margaret and Aci4e moved back to Oklahoma and settled in Sayre, where she became active in a number of clubs and church activities, and was a fervent supporter of Oklahoma football. Last December Margaret moved from her home in Sayre to the San Francisco Bay Area to live with her son Jeff and his family. She is survived by her sister, Geraldine Sandri of Union, Oregon; one son, Jeffery Easterlin and wife Sheelagh; and 2 grandchildren. (The Elk City Daily News, Elk City, OK 19-Oct-2001)
