(12 Aug 1930, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie B. Eggers, 56, for 26 years a resident of Elk City, were held here this afternoon at 4 o'clock at the First Baptist Church. The final rites were read by Rev. H. W. Shirley, pastor of the church. Mrs. Eggers is well known here having lived in this community when the settlement was known as Busch. Mrs. Eggers suffered a nervous collapse four weeks ago which was followed by a paralytic stroke. She was confined to the home of her son, Raymond Pasman and Mrs. Parman (sic), for two weeks before entering a city hospital. Her condition was considered critical by the attending physician from the beginning. She was moved from the hospital to her son's home last Thursday. Mrs. Eggers lapsed into unconsciousness Saturday at noon and the end came yesterday at 3 o'clock. Born in Georgia. Mrs. Eggers was born in Coweta county, Georgia, near Powellsville, June 1 1847 (1874). When two years of age she moved with her parents to Johnson county, Texas, near Cleburne, where she was reared. She was married to Will Parman in 1890 and continued to live near Cleburne until they came to Oklahoma in 1904. Mrs. Parman remarried after the death of Mr. Parman. She was married to J. C. Eggers, March 30, 1902. Besides her husband, J. C. Eggers, Mrs. Eggers leaves three children and five grandchildren. The children are a daughter, Mrs. Charles Meyers of Wichita Falls, Texas, and two sons, Rupert Parman of San Antonio, Tex., and Raymond Parman of this city. Father Survives. Mrs. Eggers is also survived by her father W. A. Burran, 91, of Austin, Texas, and by six brothers and sisters.
