(22 Mar 1911, Wednesday, Elk City Record, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Henry J. Elliott, a highly respected citizen, died at his home south of town, Friday, March 17, after a lingering illness of Bright's disease. Mr. Elliott was born in Noble county, Ohio in 1861, was married to Miss Helen Johnson in 1888. To this union was born five children, four daughters and one son, all living. One daughter makes her home with her grandmother in Topeka, Kansas. He leaves besides his immediate family, a mother, six brothers and one sister, the mother and three brothers were present at the funeral. Funeral services were held Saturday conducted by Rev. F. A. Gaupp after which the body was buried in the Grandview cemetery. (23 Mar 1911, Thursday, Elk City Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): H. J. ELLIOTT DEAD. Rev. Gaupp reports that he conducted the funeral of H. J. Elliott at the Fairview Cemetery last Saturday. Mr. Elliott had died at his home a few miles southeast of Elk City on Friday.
