ELLIS, FRED F.
(27 Dec 1928, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Fred F. Ellis, born February 18, 1911.  He died in Elk City December 23. 
Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ at 2:30 p.m., December
24.  J. C. Carman conducted the services.  Interment was made at East
Fairlawn cemetery.  The deceased died at the age of 16 (sic) years, 11
months and 5 days.  Grubitz & Son, funeral directors, were in charge.
Fred F. Ellis, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Ellis of West Broadway, was born
February 18, 1911, and departed this life December 23, 1928, at the age of
17 years, 10 months and 5 days.  On Monday,
December 17, Fred became ill with influenza, which rapidly developed into
pneumonia.  He was taken at once to a local hospital where special nurses
were secured and everything was done that was humanly possible, but to no
avail, and the Grim Reaper came for him at four o'clock Sunday morning,
December 23.  Having grown from boyhood in this town, it would only be
natural that he would have many friends and he was specially loved by all
who knew him.  He was always joking in his kind hearted way and his first
thought was doing something for some one else.  His going leaves a vacancy
that can never be filled and he will be missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ, December 24, at 2:30
p.m., Rev. J. C. Carman officiating.  Interment at Fairlawn cemetery with
Grubitz & Son in charge.
