EVANS, LAURA V.
(18 Feb 1909, Thursday, Elk City Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Died.  Mrs. J. M. Evans, wife of the sheriff of Roger Mills county, after
a long illness, passed away.  The remains were interred in the Cheyenne
cemetery.  Services by Elder Martin, of the Christian church.  An immense
concourse of people attended the funeral services.
Mrs. Evans was one of the pioneer settlers of that vicinity.
