She died on the 22nd day of July, 1927, aged 20 years, 5 months and 2 days. She was raised and educated near her birthplace, and went to high school in Cheyenne. She was a true and devoted Christian. She joined the Methodist Church in the month of July, 1923, and was a faithful church worker and was the leader in all her church work for her friends. She did not feel like she was doing as much work for her Lord and suffering humanity as she should, and entered the nursing profession, and has been lending a helping hand to the suffering since two years ago this August. She was a nurse at the Border Hospital in Mangum most of the time, where she was at the time of her death. She leaves to mourn her loss a devoted mother and father, four sisters and three brothers, who names are Mrs. Hannah Nagle, Mrs. Eupha Hunt, Mrs. Olive Walker, Mrs. Mary Wilson, Earl Fannon, William Fannon, Wayne Fannon and three nephews and one niece. She was assisting with the sick last Sunday morning. She helped operate, and little did she think she would lay a corpse today. She was stricken down last Sunday night about 2:30, operated on Monday morning, and the Lord saw fit to cease her suffering. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. W. Newman of Butler at the Broadway Methodist Church, where a large crowd assembled to pay their last respects to this, their friend. Her remains were laid to rest in Fairlawn Cemetery to await the judgment morn. - A Friend. Obituary.
