All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ FLENNER, JOHN B. (28 Apr 1921, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): OBITUARY. J. B. Flenner was born March 29, 1848, in Butler County, Ohio. With his parents he moved to Clark county, Illinois, while quite a small boy. He was married to Margery Norris in May 1864. To this union was born six children, two boys and four girls; Mrs. Anna B. Fry of Hydro, George Flenner of Elk City, Mrs. Lula M. Rupp of Cheyenne, Mrs. Bessie E. Macklin of Berlin, Effie M. Macklin of Berlin and James S. Flenner of Berlin. The children were all present when he passed away April 20, 1921, aged 73 years and 21 days. He united with the United Brethren church in Clark county, Illinois in 1891. With his family he moved to Oklahoma in 1904 and resided near Berlin, where he passed away. Besides his children to mourn his departure, his wife, one brother, three sisters and twenty-three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Berlin church by Rev. Klopbenstein. Interment in the Berlin cemetery. (other notes): George Flenner and family and Mrs. Essie Gesell and little daughter visited with most of the relatives Sunday at Ollie Macklins. Two sisters of J. B.
