All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ FOGERTY, MARGUERITE (10 Feb 1916, Thursday, Southwest News & Leader, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): MISS FOGERTY PASSED AWAY ON SATURDAY NIGHT. Well Known Woman Died at Family Home on West Broadway on that Date. Miss Marguerite Fogerty, for many years a resident of Elk City, and well and favorably known, died at the home on West Broadway Saturday night from an attack of pneumonia. Funeral services were conducted at the residence at 2:30 Sunday afternoon by Rev. Father Geereart of the Catholic church and was attended by many friends of the deceased and of the family and the remains were shipped to the former home at Odelbolt, Iowa, for interment. Father Geereart and Chas. McAlpin accompanied the remains. Miss Fogerty was a sister of Tom Fogerty and Mrs. Chas. McAlpin, and has other relatives here and in Iowa. She was a devout Christian and possessed the traits of character which made her many friends. Her brother was critically ill at the time she passed away and his condition is still regarded as critical. The News joins the family in extending sympathy.
