FORT, LOCKEY J.
(6 Mar 1924, Elk City News Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. Lockey Forte (sic) died at her home in Elk City Monday at the age of
73 years, 11 months and 21 days.  Interment in charge of Grubitz and Son
took place at Poarch, Wednesday.
(7 Mar 1924, The Carter Express, Carter, Beckham Co, OK):
DIED.  Grandma Fort, mother of Mrs. J. W. Folks, of Carter, died at her
home in Elk City Tuesday following a long illness.  She had been in poor
health for quite a while and been confined to her bed for several months
during which time she suffered intensely and continued to grow worse
although she had the best of care.
Mrs. Fort was at one time a resident of the Poarch community and had many
friends in this part of the country.
The remains were laid to rest in the Poarch cemetery Wednesday.
