FRANKLIN, PAYNE
(14 Jun 1923, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
DEATH OF PAYNE FRANKLIN.
Mrs. Zula Barnaby received letter Saturday from Mrs. Flora A. Franklin,
Beagle, Kan., telling of the death of her son, Payne Franklin, which
occurred on May 12th, at Salt Lake City, Utah, after an illness of four
months from effects of flu.
Payne lived at Abraham, Utah, and was son of the late E. W. Franklin, who
formerly lived in Grimes neighborhood.  Payne came here in January to
visit and looked the picture of health.  His visit was enjoyed so much by
his friends, and his death has come as a great shock to all.
